Scott Hrabko & The Rabbits is a fun little project with plenty of twang and a whole lot of swing. The band trolls the dancy country music line with upbeat songs like “Anne Boleyn” and “Eyes of Bonny Blue.” Things slow down occasionally like on “The Ogre’s Waltz” which really helps the album flow but the group is strongest when hammering out bluesy country stompers. The album may be highlighted by the sweetly done “Corrina (Don’t Take The Long Way Home)” as the song strolls patiently with some soft guitar and gentle vocals. Overall the record may not be the best album you’ve heard all year but there is simply nothing not to enjoy here, it’s just fun americana.
